Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite popular. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that made her feel like an unwanted person. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she received high praise for her singing, she started to build confidence. The singer not only gained confidence through the audition, but she also changed the direction of her career. When she was 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. Her professional career began at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot, she played The Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she released a solo as well as an extended version. She is also an activist who is active to promote LGBT rights.
